RONDE_LOGOI've received another anonymous message regarding De Ronde PDX, 2008:

Breaking news!  The route map is complete! A little longer... a little more climbing! Pass it on!

Longer, and more climbing than last year?  You know, that's exactly what I was thinking it needed.  More climbing.  Crap.

Steve's had a taste of the good life, so it's understandable. Kind of like when Costco suddenly stops stocking Nutella.

It should be a good ride. I'll try to take pictures and maybe even wear my sweat 15fps Tony Hawk helmet cam.

Maybe I will. I'd probably have to walk the big climbs, but who says I wouldn't otherwise? The lube will give me at least 50 extra watts, wouldn't you think?

oh that route is sweet goodness. this ride has haunted me ever since I first read about it. When I'm out riding and think of going around a climb instead of over, this flyer pops into my head holding a little red pitchfork and I'm forced to man up.

they are racing it, huh? yeah good luck with that!

I don't know who "they" are, but doubt the anonymous organizer(s) would expose themselves and the ride to the trouble that could come from this.
